The clinic and elderly care group foundation centre Mittelrhein, consisting of the health centre of the “Evang. Stift (Protestant Monastery) St. Martin Koblenz”, the health centre “zum Heiligen Geist (Holy Spirit) Boppard“ and the “Diakoniezentrum Paulinenstift Nastätten“ is – according to the “Landeskrankenhausplan“, the federal state hospital plan, – a tertiary care hospital and serves an area with about 300,000 inhabitants. It has a capacity of 601 regular beds. 10 beds in the oncology day care unit complete the offer. At the hospital in Koblenz, the “Clinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine“ constitutes a ward without inpatient beds. Outside of the “Planbettenbescheid“ (official document declaring the hospital’s bed capacity) there are 28 rehabilitation beds, 10 beds in the hospice and 200 beds in the three facilities for the care of the elderly (inpatient care, short term care, day care and assisted living).
What’s more, the “medizinische Versorgungszentrum (MVZ) Mittelrhein“ (ambulatory healthcare centre Mittelrhein) is situated at both locations Boppard and Koblenz. The “MVZ“ is comprised of the fields surgery, neurosurgery, gynaecology/obstetrics, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy and nuclear medicine. Additionally, subsidiaries such as “Rehafit (practice for physiotherapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy)“, “Stiftmobil (out-patient care)“, the registered association “Basis e.V.” (from baby swimming courses, cardiac sports, Yoga up to inline skating)” and a nutritional centre have established themselves in our clinical centre.
